This event is a major fundraising event presented jointly by St. Joseph's Health Care Foundation and CMHA London-Middlesex. All proceeds benefit community programs supported by both organizations. In addition to the delivery of the 2010 Champion of Mental Health Award will be a presentation by keynote speaker, Mary Walsh. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder: Explored in Documentary Film and Personal Experience ThisFREE event takes place on April 13 at the Beacock Library from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Scott Rosborough, the facilitator of the newest OCD Support Group in London will discuss his personal experience with this often devastating condition and we will see the experience of several other Canadians as depicted in the National Film Board Documentary, OCD: The War Inside. Nutritional Approach to Mental Health: Orthomolecular Therapy Joinus for two FREE lectures, "An Introduction to Orthomolecular Medicine" on April 14, 2010 at 7:00 pm, and again on May 12, 2010 at 7:00 pm for "Mental Health Regained." Both lectures take place at the Stevenson & Hunt Room at the Central Public Library in London Ontario. The lectures are presented by the International Schizophrenia Foundation and Orthomolecular Health and is partially supported by the Mental Health Promotion Program of CMHA London-Middlesex in partnership with the London Public Library. Attention all Artists: Framing the Phoenix Art Show Call for Submissions "Framing the Phoenix" is an art exhibition brought to you by the Mental Health Promotions Committee. This year, we are celebrating our 6th year in London (Ontario). It is our hope that through art we will reduce the stigma of mental illness. Art is a wonderful venue to explore the recovery process of mental illness. We encourage you to submit your artwork and support this exciting endeavour; the deadline for submissions will be April 28, 2010.
